This can be done either by manually adding the component to a GameObject, or by using the steps shown in :ref:`Getting Started`. |AvatarReady_AvatarSetup| If the avatar has been created or converted using the action menu, then the *Setup AvatarReady* button should be greyed out. If the component has been manually added, select either *runtime import* or *static* for the avatar type and click the *Setup AvatarReady* button. Static avatars must contain a child GameObject with an animator component and the animator component must have a humanoid avatar. The *reset* button can be used to removed the components added when using *Setup AvatarReady*
